Roxana VOICU-DOROBANŢU, Ph.D., Associate Professor with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), Romania, holds a Ph.D. in International Business with a focus on international finance (ASE), an MA in Financial Management (ASE), a postdoctoral degree (Romanian Academy).
Co-Principal Investigator in a project funded by the Swiss National Foundation on developing entrepreneurship through venture capital, she was member in 15 research and development projects on venture capital, financing entrepreneurship (both research and training potential entrepreneurs – as certified trainer), regional development, fostering innovation, increasing sustainability and resilience. She is author/co-author of 2 books, 9 book chapters and reports, numerous peer-reviewed articles in journals and conference proceedings.
Although the main focus of the research and development projects differs, there is a common denominator: the commitment to improve Romania‘s current status via policy proposals. Roxana is member of the Royal Economic Society, World Economics Association, Aspen Institute Romania Fellows Network, a Vice-president of the English Speaking Union Romania, Member in the Executive Board of the Center for Research in International Business and Economics in ASE, a certified trainer.
Apart from her academic involvement (including her participation as visiting professor to the Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland, Great Britain and University of Szczecin, Poland), her skills are validated in the business environment, Roxana operating on a project-based schedule as a consultant in risk management and restructuring.
